Ryedale: roads closed on National Highways network

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A64, from 9pm April 13 to 5am April 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, High hutton, traffic signals for sign works.

• A64, from 8pm April 14 to 6am April 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, East Knapton, traffic signals for carriageway repairs.

• A64, from 8pm February 20 to 6am April 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Claxton, traffic signals for drainage works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A64, from 8pm April 19 to 6am April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Potter Brompton to Staxton crossroads, traffic signals for general cleaning and maintenance.

• A64, from 8pm April 20 to 5am April 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington to Sherburn, traffic signals for general cleaning and maintenance.

• A64, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on April 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Sand hutton, Stop and go for electrical works.

• A64, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on April 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington, Stop and go boards for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
