An author and illustrator team are to speak in Pickering.
Sacha and Thomas Webborn will visit Pickering Book Tree, Market Place, on Saturday, April 22, for an interactive children’s event to celebrate the launch of their picture book, 'Nettle and Dock'.
The husband-and-wife team live in North Yorkshire, and also form folk duo ‘Webborn’.
Their picture book introduces young readers to the centuries-old folkloric relationship between two well-known and abundant British plants.
It is designed to immerse readers in the exploration of nature, encourage plant identification, and inspire children to engage with outdoor life.
The visit lands on Earth Day - an annual celebration across the globe to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
