There were two more Covid deaths recorded over the latest weekly period in Ryedale.
The latest figures from the UK coronavirus dashboard show a total of 159 people had died in the area by April 13 – up from 157 on the week before.
Weekly figures now include anyone whose death certificate – registered up to 14 days before April 13 – mentions Covid as one of the causes.
York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals Trust was caring for 146 patients with Covid in hospital as of April 12, figures show.
NHS England data shows the number of people being treated in hospital with Covid by 8am on April 12 was down from 153 on the same day the previous week.
The number of beds at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust occupied by people who tested positive for Covid increased by 10 in the last four weeks – 28 days ago, there were 133.
Nationally, the number of hospital patients with Covid has decreased by 24 in the last four weeks, while the number on mechanical ventilators has decreased by 27.
The figures also show that 45 new patients with Covid were admitted to hospital in York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the week to April 10. This was down from 88 in the previous seven days.
