TORQUAY United have made further tickets available to York City supporters ahead of the sides’ crucial Vanarama National League clash on Saturday (3pm).
City supporters were originally to be housed in the Bristow’s Bench stand at Plainmoor, a raised covered seating stand down one side of the pitch, but due to demand, further tickets have now been released in the 1,500 capacity Woolens Away Terrace, situated to the right, behind one of the goals.
As of this morning, York had sold 388 tickets for the 640-mile round trip to Devon, with the match likely to play a role in the battle to avoid relegation.
Whilst Torquay currently sit six points behind the Minstermen, they have a game in hand, and head into Saturday’s encounter off the back of four consecutive victories, including against play-off chasers Boreham Wood and Eastleigh, keeping three clean sheets in the process.
York have been in relative form themselves, with triumphs against Barnet and Chesterfield, though fell to a disappointing 3-0 defeat in their Yorkshire derby at home to FC Halifax Town on Monday.
Tickets for Saturday’s match are priced at £19 for Adults, £17 for Concessions and £10 for Under 18s, while Under 7s go free.
York Pullman are running an official Supporters’ Coach, with places priced at £60. The coach will depart from Memorial Gardens at 6am, and from Acomb 10 minutes later.
Supporters are advised that Torquay operate cashless turnstiles, with tickets only available online or via the matchday ticket office.
