ESTABLISHMENTS across Ryedale have been awarded new food hygiene rating after recent visits from inspectors, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
In Malton, the Royal Oak pub, Market Place, was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 31.
Speedy Pepper takeaway, Yorkersgate, was also given a score of four the same day.
Leonis Coffee House, Wheelgate, was given the maximum rating of five after assessment on February 17.
Dales of Malton greengrocer, Wheelgate, was also given the maximum rating the same day.
Whistle Stop Café, in Malton Railway Station, was given the score of three-out-of-five after an inspection on January 17.
In Norton, Malton Salvation Army, Wood Street, was given the maximum score, after an inspection on March 6.

Venues in Pickering also had recent visits from hygiene inspectors, according to the Food Standard’s Agency website.
Lee's Chinese Takeaway, Eastgate, was given the score of three-out-of-five after assessment on February 7.
Taylors of Pickering greengrocer, Market Place, was handed the score of four-out-of-five after assessment on February 7.
Elsewhere, in Kirkbymoorside, The Butter Cross café, Crown Square, was given the maximum score of five after assessment on March 21.
These scores mean that of Ryedale's 144 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 115 (80 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
