YORK CITY’s supporters have received more praise from Hollywood.
The Minstermen’s fans have earned plaudits from across the Vanarama National League so far this season for their excellent support, but have now been praised for a second time by actor, and Wrexham Co-Owner Ryan Reynolds.
Reynolds, who purchased the Welsh club alongside fellow actor Rob McElhenney in November 2020, described City’s support as “massive” ahead of the sides’ Vanarama National League clash on Saturday earlier this week.
And he has now expanded on his comments in a message to Jorvik Radio’s Ryan Brookes, with the Minstermen’s large travelling contingent earning his respect for making the 258-mile round-trip to Wales.
“In case it goes unsaid, I have a ton of respect for the YCFC fans travelling to Wrexham this weekend,” Reynolds enthused.
“So I’m happy to welcome them all to the Racecourse.
“Should be a great match [on] Saturday.”

As the Press reported yesterday (Tuesday), there are just a handful of tickets still available for York supporters, who will be taking in excess of 900 fans to the Racecourse.
Tickets for the tie are priced at £21 for Adults and £16 for Over 65s and Under 21, while Under 18s will cost £9 and Under 11s £5, and can be purchased here.
City’s matches have attracted a combined crowd of almost 100,000 this season, including a staggering 7,145 at the reverse fixture in Yorkshire on December 3.
