A WARNING has been issued following reports of a scam claiming to be from a lifeline service in Ryedale.
Ryedale District Council has issued a warning after a customer of Ryecare, received a call from someone reporting that their lifeline service will expire shortly.
A council spokesperson added that the customer was asked to provide their bank details on the call.
“This is a scam,” they said.
Anyone who is contacted by the scam is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 or email Ryedale District Council at: communityteam@ryedale.co.uk
