A BODY has been found in a recycling bin by a member of the public in a North Yorkshire village.
North Yorkshire Police officers were contacted at around 6am today (March 17) by a member of the public - who reported finding a body in a recycling bin in Scalby in Scarborough.
Police, fire and ambulance services attended and were the scene this morning, but it has now been closed down.
Officers have now confirmed the body was found in a clothing recycling bin.
It has been reported that a cordon was put in place in Scalby Road and around the car park at the village hall.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "There are no suspicious circumstances around the man’s death and a file has been passed to the Coroner.
"The man’s family have been made aware and are being supported by officers."
