A POPULAR play area in Ryedale is to closure while work is carried out.
Manor Drive play area, in Pickering, is to close from Wednesday, March 8, for work to begin.
A spokesperson for Pickering Town Council said the work involves removing conifer trees on the boundary between the play area and the industrial estate.
This work is to be carried out by Invicta Bakeware Ltd.
The town council did not provide a reopening date, but said it would keep residents updated.

Speaking on Facebook, the spokesperson said: “We will reopen the play area when it is safe to do so and will put another notice out updating residents when we have further information.
“Please get in touch if you have any queries about the play area closure.
“For any queries about the tree work please contact Invicta Bakeware Ltd.”
