AN event to celebrate the Magnificent Women of Ryedale is being held on March 6.
Motivational special guest speakers and a local voices panel, as well as a Q&A, refreshments and canapes, will take place at The Talbot Hotel, Malton, from 7pm to 10pm.
It will celebrate the large number of businesses and community-led organisations in Ryedale owned and run by women, and will be an opportunity for each to talk, connect and hear inspiring stories from near and far.
Audrie Woodhouse, local businesswoman, coach and speaking consultant, is organising Magnificent Women of Ryedale.
She said: “The idea for this came about when I thought about how local women have had a positive impact on my life, and how they bring a sense of belonging and purpose. It is a community, not-for-profit event with a pay it forward scheme which permits a free aspiring woman with every ticket purchased. I have excellent support from everyone, including the event sponsors, Ryedale District Council, Puddleducks Day Nursery, Malton Relish and Malton School. We also have technical support from A level students and renowned speakers, authors, community members and business owners attending.”
Margaret Wallace, Acting Chief Executive Officer at Ryedale District Council, added: “We cannot think of a better way to celebrate International Women’s Day, pulling into focus the remarkable work and achievements local women contribute to Ryedale at this event on 6 March.
“This is why we are proud to be co-supporting this marvellous event, as the women of Ryedale, in whichever professional field of industry or community organisation they work within, all have inspiring stories to share and discuss.”
Tickets can be purchased by emailing Audrie Woodhouse at me@audriewoodhouse.com and cost £25. Booking is essential for the event as tickets cannot be purchased on the night.
