HELP is needed to ensure a popular Ryedale horticultural show is able to go ahead this year.
The Kirkbymoorside Horticultural Show is due to take place on September 23 in the town’s memorial hall, but a lack of committee members means running the show this year is currently not possible.
With this in mind, the committee is urging volunteers to come forward and join the team.
The horticultural show showcases flowers, vegetables, baking, and more.

Neil Cawood, who has been chairman of the committee since joining nine years ago, said the show attracts top national exhibits.
“It’s a good show, of the top standard,” he said.
“The quality and quantity that we get is really good.”
For this year’s show to go ahead Neil said four or five volunteers are needed to join the team of three current committee members.
He said previous committee members have had to leave due to additional commitments.

The new members would help set up for the show, and also assist in stewarding the event.
