RYEDALE’S motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A64, from 8pm January 3 to 6am March 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington, traffic signals for carriageway improvements.
And a further 10 closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A64, from 8pm February 13 to 6am April 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Staxton, traffic signals for carriageway improvements.
• A64, from 9pm February 14 to 5am February 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, High hutton, traffic signals for sign works.

• A64, from 8pm February 17 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Whitwell to Crambeck, Lane closure for general cleaning and maintenance.
• A64, from 8am February 20 to 6pm March 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington to West Knapton, traffic signals for boundary wall repairs.
• A64, from 9.30am February 20 to 3.30pm February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 westbound, Brambling fields to Pickering, Lane closure for general cleaning and maintenance.
• A64, from 8pm February 20 to 6am April 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Claxton, traffic signals for drainage works.
• A64, from 8pm February 20 to 6am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Musley to Pickering, Lane closure for general cleaning and maintenance.

• A64, from 9pm February 20 to 5am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington, traffic signals for carriageway resurfacing.
• A64, from 9pm February 20 to 5am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington, traffic signals for carriageway resurfacing.
• A64, from 8pm February 21 to 6am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Pickering to Brambling, Lane closure for general cleaning and maintenance.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
