A DRIVER is facing charges and has had their vehicle seized after being caught driving with no insurance in Scarborough.
North Yorkshire Police said officers pulled over the Mercedes earlier this week and found the driver to have no insurance in place.
A spokesperson for the force added that the driver is now facing a £300 fine and six points on their license.
They said: "An insurance policy has since been arranged and the vehicle has been released from the pound.
“Each driver is responsible for ensuring there is an insurance policy in place before the vehicle moves.
“Please take time to check your policy to make sure it is correct when you take out a new insurance.”
