A NORTH Yorkshire MP marked Small Business Saturday with visits to businesses across his constituency.
Kevin Hollinrake, MP for Thirsk and Malton, visited businesses across the areas on Saturday, December 3, to mark the occasion.
Small Business Saturday is grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which celebrates small business success and encourages consumers to 'shop local' and to support businesses in their communities.
The MP's visits included Malton Christmas Market, Peter Taylor’s of Pickering, Helmsley town centre, and Filey’s fishing Christmas tree lights.
Mr Hollinrake said: “We are so lucky to have such varied businesses in our area, from locally produced food to enterprising bicycle start-ups.
“The value of these businesses to our local community and economy cannot be underestimated which is why it's even more important to shop local.
“If you've just set up a small business in Malton I'd love to hear more - please get in touch at kevin.hollinrake.mp@parliament.uk.”
