A TEACHER in Ryedale has been given the chance to further his teaching work – and it’s thanks to the Postcode Lottery.
For the last five years, players of People’s Postcode Lottery have supported the work of the PTI - a charity which provides courses for teachers focused on developing specialist subject knowledge.
This year £125,000 was awarded and as part of this support, Jordan Dodsworth from Malton School attended the PTI Enrichment Residential for teachers of Maths, Science and Design and Technology, which took place in Crewe, Cheshire, between November 26 and 28.

The PTI Enrichment Residential is a course for heads of department and subject leaders, where they can share best practice, and engage in constructive discussion about the new curricular demands with a community of passionate teachers.
Jordan Dodsworth from Malton School said: “Working with like-minded individuals to enhance and develop the curriculum has opened my mind to a world of possibilities.”
Chris Pope, co-director at the PTI said: “As society beings to return to normal following the pandemic restrictions being lifted, it was fantastic to see so many engaged teachers at our Subject Enrichment Residential this weekend.”
