DRIVERS in and around Ryedale will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A64, from 8pm October 17 to 6am November 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Askham Bryan to Seamer, Lane closures general cleaning and maintenance.
And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A64, from 8pm November 23 to 6am November 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound, Scagglethorpe, lane closure for YW works.
• A64, from 8pm November 23 to 6am November 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington to Sherburn, traffic signals for general cleaning and maintenance.
• A64, from 8pm December 5 to 6am December 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington, traffic signals for technology works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
