RYEDALE'S motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
Delays of up to 30 minutes are expected on some parts of the A64.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A64, from 8pm September 26 to 6am November 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Pickering to West Heslerton, carriageway closures and traffic signals for carriageway improvements, diversion in place via local authority network.
• A64, from 8pm October 17 to 6am November 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Askham Bryan to Seamer, Lane closures general cleaning and maintenance.
And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A64, from 8pm November 23 to 6am November 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington to Sherburn, traffic signals for general cleaning and maintenance.
• A64, from 8pm November 23 to 6am November 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound, Scagglethorpe, lane closure for YW works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
