Poppy displays
Preparations have already begun at St Nicholas Church in Barton-le-Street.
Thousands of knitted poppies have decorated the front of the church and its entrance, made by people in the village.
Sue Hall organised the display and knitted 120 poppies herself.
She explained that the display was a village effort, with many getting involved to create the poppies.
Work started in January, with over 1200 poppies created.
“Last year I just thought I’d do a little display at the front of the church," said Sue.
“It was nice for the village."
