Kemps Bookshop in Malton is pleased to announce a set of author visits, events and signings in the run up to Christmas.
First up is Alison Weir the top-selling female historian who will be appearing at The Milton Rooms to talk about her new book ‘Elizabeth of York – The Last White Rose’ on Thursday November 17 . The talk will be followed by an opportunity for questions and a book signing.

After a successful visit to Malton in 2021 Alison Weir the top-selling female historian (and the fifth-bestselling historian overall) in the UK will be appearing at The Milton Rooms to talk about her new book ‘Elizabeth of York – The Last White Rose’.

Tickets are available from The Milton Rooms for the event on Thursday November 17th . The talk will be followed by an opportunity for questions and a book signing.
Saturdays in November and December see a series of book signings featuring local authors including The Yorkshire Vet – Julian Norton.
Saturday November 12th at noon York based, artist, author and illustrator Emily Sutton will be signing copies of several of her captivating children’s titles which make perfect Christmas gifting.
Saturday November 19th at 2.30pm local author Simon Turney will be in sign some of his Roman fiction titles and chat to customers – again great for Christmas gifting.
Saturday November 26th at noon Julian Norton – The Yorkshire Vet will be visiting Kemps to sign copies of his new children’s book ‘Adventures with a Yorkshire Vet: Lambing Time and Other Animal Tales’ and other titles too.
Saturday December 10th at noon local author Sally Coulthard will be signing copies of her new book ‘Fowl Play : A History of the Chicken from Dinosaur to Dinner Plate’ and many of her other titles on rural life and the natural world.
Everything from earth worms to barns – we are sure there will be a title to suit you.

No booking is required for the signing events but books will be available on a first come first served basis while stocks last. Kemps looks forward to welcoming you.
