A FUN day held by a football team in Malton has been hailed a success.
Brooklyn Junior Girls team held a free fun day on October 25, with over 40 attendees.
The team has been working closely with the Football Association to support the future growth of its players.
A spokesperson for Brooklyn Junior Girls team said: “A massive thank you to the volunteering coaches headed by Tom Bothamley and Gary Adamson, and also the support from Jak Johnson, Millie and Alfie Hopwood.
“It was fantastic to see so many girls taking part in different football activities, learning new skills and playing outdoor games.
“The laughter and smiles on so many faces show the reward it deserves.
“A big thank you to all parents who made donations to the clubs chosen charity Candlelighters, a charity who support and help children and families affected by cancer.”

The team will be running football development sessions at Malton Sports Centre on November 11 from 6pm to 7pm.
On the night there will be a ‘Squad Girls’ session for those aged 12 to 15 and a ‘Young Lionesses’ session for ages six to 11.
