A spokesperson for Castle Howard said: “Castle Howard is one of the most recognisable buildings in England, from its architectural style, and interior design to its debut on the silver screen, there’s no wonder we’re reportedly the most Instagrammable stately home in the north of England.
“In addition, our Gardens and Grounds and wider Estates offer visitors nearly 9000 acres of Yorkshire countryside to photograph and enjoy.”
Castle Howard was also ranked the third most Instagrammable stately home in the UK, behind Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, which topped the list with 186,777 hashtags, and Chatsworth House, in Derbyshire, which had 132,536.
