A WALKING netball taster session held in Malton has been hailed a success by organisers.
As reported by the Gazette and Herald, Malton Walking Netball held a taster session on October 20 for new players to try out the sport.
At the taster session 16 new players attended Malton Community Sports Centre, located on Broughton Road, to try their hand at the sport.
In walking netball, players are not allowed to run or jump and can also have more time on the ball.

Although walking netball is aimed at ladies over 50, it is open to anyone who doesn't want to be involved in the full speed version of the game.
Women with previous injuries and/or disabilities are also encouraged to attend the sessions, no matter their age.
Kate Parker, along with other qualified All England Netball hosts, welcome anyone who wants to give the sport a try to come along to Malton Community Sports Centre on Thursdays between from 5pm to 6pm.
Kate said: "Our ladies vary in age range from 20 to 85 and all of them have fun, inclusion is so important to the group, adjusting our rules to suit each participant."
