RYEDALE Lions raised a huge amount of money with their annual Charity Golf Day.
The group held the event on Friday, September 2, at Kirkbymoorside Golf Club, with almost 150 players in attendance.
Over £7500 was raised, a record amount for the group, and will be used by the Ryedale Lions to support local charities and good causes.
A spokesperson for the Ryedale Lions said: “Ryedale Lions would like to thank Kirkbymoorside Golf Club, all the many sponsors, those who donated raffle prizes, all club members and their wives who helped on the day and, of course, everyone who entered the event.”
Ryedale Lions service director, Andrew Mansfield, said: “We have had fantastic feedback from participants, many of whom have already signed up for next year.
"The Golf Day is our second largest fund-raising event, after the fast approaching Santa’s Sleigh, and takes considerable organisation.
“However, it is all so worthwhile when everyone has had a great day of golf and helped raise such a magnificent amount.”
