A BOWLER from North Yorkshire took home bronze for England at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham.
Chris Turnbull, joined by Alison Yearling, won a bronze medal in the Para Mixed Pairs B2/B3 bowls event, which saw England beat Australia 14-11 at Royal Leamington Spa’s Victoria Park.
This was the 73-year-olds debut Commonwealth Games appearance.
