A POPULAR North Yorkshire show will return for its 113th year.
The Farndale Show will return this year, after a two-year absence due to Covid.
It will be held on August 29 on the Showfield behind the Village Hall Church Houses Farndale in Nr Kirkbymoorside.
At this year’s event the Waterfowl and Poultry Classes have been cancelled, due to current Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) regulations.
2019’s show saw the introduction of a whole new range of horse classes as well as best cherry bakewell and lemon drizzle cake in the baking section.
All will be making their return this year, along with the show’s usual cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits and cavies, stick making, farm produce, fruit, flowers, vegetables, industrial, art and vintage.
The always popular photo section will include Flora and Fauna 'Lush and Green', the Power of Water, Feathered Friends, ‘The Road Less Travelled’, and many more.
All children's classes will again be free to enter with new classes to include themes around the Queen's Jubilee.
There will also be a ‘best scarecrow’ class.
A full list of all classes, trophies and prizes can be found in the Show Schedule available online: www.farndaleshow.org.uk.
Alternatively, schedules can be provided by emailing: secretary@farndaleshow.org.uk.
