A PLANT nursery in Thorpe Bassett has won the top award at a prestigious flower show.
Beech Tree Farm Plants were awarded a gold medal for their display at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival in Surrey.
The festival is the world’s largest annual flower show, stretching over 34 acres at its historic location.
Beech Tree Farm Plants were awarded for their display, which contained their well-known lavender and herbs as well as topiary.
Lucy Hudson from Beech Tree Farm Plants said she was “absolutely thrilled” to win the event’s highest award.
She explained that the nursery has been entering flower shows for the past 20 years and look forward to the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival.
They enter competitions all over the UK, recently showing displays at the BBC Gardener’s World Live event in Birmingham and also at the Malton Show.
Beech Tree Farm Plants is a private nursery, only open to the public by appointment.
They were previously called Topiary By design, but changed the name five years ago.
