A popular village market will return for a special weekend.
Hovingham Village Market will celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Jubilee at this Saturday (June 4).
The market, which is run entirely by volunteers, says there will be a few extra touches for the special Jubilee celebrations.
A spokesperson said in their newsletter, “Our Union flag will be flying proudly and the Union bunting will be out for this special Jubilee edition of Hovingham Village Market. We've challenged our stallholders to look the part too, with our volunteers on the look out for the Best Dressed Stall. We hope you have a lovely visit to our market and enjoy the Jubilee atmosphere!”
The popular Community Café will also be run by Hovingham Church this time.
Their previous Café was led by volunteers from Scackleton Action Group, who raised £475.
“Expect a vibrant and friendly community atmosphere, and lots of brilliant independent producers selling their fine wares. It's shaping up to be another crowd pleaser! See you there.”
The market opens at Hovingham Village Hall from 10.30am until 1.30pm.
