FIREFIGHTERS were called in after a reports of smoke yesterday.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said their crews were called out at 1.50pm yesterday afternoon (May 25) to Scarborough.
Crews were called to Pavillion Square after reports of smoke issuing from some flats.
A service spokesman said: "On arrival crews confirmed a pan had been left on a hob unattended.
Fire was out on arrival and crews ventilated the property."
