FIREFIGHTERS were called after a report of a cow stuck in a river last night.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said their crews were called out at 9.06pm last night (May 18) to Malton.
Crews were called to Kirkham after a report of a cow in a nearby river.
A service spokesman said: "After a thorough search and confirmation from the cattle owner that all cows were present, it is believed to have self extricated itself from the river prior to our arrival."
