Crews attend false alarm in Malton
FIREFIGHTERS were called in after a smell of burning last night.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said their crews were called out at 10pm last night (May 17) to Malton.
Crews were called to Scarborough after a report of a burning smell in a property.
A service spokesman said: "This was a false alarm with good intent, and was in fact a hot electric heater."
