A group of radio-controlled car enthusiasts are set to open a new track for their club this weekend.
Ebberston RC Track is a local club that race radio controlled off road cars on a purpose built race track.
The club, based in Ebberston near Pickering, is run by a committee of regular racers and are relaunching the club and the new track this Sunday (May 8).
A spokesperson for the club said: “Our sport is little known of but it is a fun friendly exciting hobby, which we are sure would appeal to local youngsters and parents/grandparents alike – come and see us in action.”
“We have racers from beginners to pro level so there is always plenty of friendly advice and help for newcomers track side. We also have a club car which has been invested in to allow potential new members to try their hand at driving an off road RC car.”
The club is fully insured and affiliated with the British Radio Control Association.
