Firefighters were called to an address in Scarborough after reports of elderly people stuck in a lift.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said their crews were called out at 6.46pm last night (May 3) to Weaponess Park.

Crews were called to a residential property in the area after a report of two elderly people stuck between floors in a lift.

A service spokesman said: “Crews used lift keys to enable the lift to be moved and the passengers to exit safely.”
