PICKERING Running Club enjoyed a double victory at the May Beck Three Crosses in the Dave Parry/Let’s Run Winter Fell Race Series, with both men's and ladies' teams coming home first.
There was plenty to celebrate as Pickering narrowly beat Scarborough in the February 20 race, which saw 18 intrepid PRC take to the moors.
Darren Smith was first back for PRC, completing the 7.5-mile hilly mud fest in 56 minutes 20 seconds, placing him ninth overall.
Next came Simon Rycroft (58.39, second in category), Peter Allen (60.32), Michael Richmond (60.47, third in category), Phil Smith (62.16), PRC newcomer Paul Woolhouse (62.53) and Russ Grayson (64.37).
Kelly Gaughan (70.01) was first lady back for PRC, earning her third lady and first in category.
Not far behind was Kim Cavill (72.17, second in category), Richard Johnson (72.45), Karen Farmer-Scott (78.32, first in category), Lynn Humpleby (81.27), Nick Cousins (83.53), Kirsty Brown (84.11, second in category), Debbie Rycroft (85.58, second in category), Jenny Storrie (90.25) and Mike Hetherton (100.39, first in category).
