Part of Scarborough Road in Norton will be closed next week
A NORTON road is to be closed next week for resurfacing.
Scarborough Road will be closed from 'Balaclava Hill' to the mini roundabout at the Mill Street junction for seven days from Monday.
Richard Marr, North Yorkshire County Council Highways Area Manager, said: "The road closure is from the bridge on Scarborough Road to the mini roundabout at the Mill Street junction. The works will take place between 9.30am and 3.30pm so that we reduce the impact at peak travelling times.
"We apologise for any inconvenience these essential works cause but we are afraid night time working was not an option due to the residential nature of this section of Scarborough Road."
