THIS year's Malton Show has been cancelled for a second year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The executive committee have taken the decision that due to the ongoing situation it would not be viable to hold the show which was scheduled to be held at the end of June at Scampston Park.
Last year's show was also cancelled due to covid.
Charlie Breese, Chairman of Malton Agricultural Society, said: "'Due to the extenuating circumstances our whole country faces in the face of the Coronavirus outbreak, the Executive Committee have agreed that this years show will not take place.
"It is with great sadness that we find ourselves having to make this decision, but we all have to baton down the hatches and just look forward to the show in 2022
"Make a note in your diary : Sunday 26th June 2022.
"We will be sorry not to see so many of you at the glorious Showground at Scampston Park this year, but I wish you all the ongoing good health, happiness and prosperity."
Thornton-le-Dale show has also been cancelled this year.
