FOR this month’s feature, members of Kirkbymoorside Camera Club have pulled together another batch of award-winning photographs.
October saw the club’s second internal competition of the 2020/21 season, the Hazelhurst Trophy. Once again, the competition was judged online as, due to Covid-19, the club continues to hold all its meetings through Zoom.
The Hazelhurst Trophy is a knock-out projected image competition. Members submit four images, three of which are awarded up to points 10 each. The overall winner is the member with the most points over the three rounds.
However, this year resulted in a draw between Iain Leadley and Jim Cavanagh. The fourth image came into play, resulting in the overall winner being Iain with 39 points out of a possible 40. The crystal clock trophy awarded to the winner was bought by the club from money raised by the sale of photographic equipment given to the club by the Hazlehurst family.
Kirkbymoorside and District Camera Club welcomes new members of all standards welcome.
