MOUNTAIN rescue have helped an injured mountain biker.
Nineteen team of Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue (SRMRT) attended the incident at Low Dalby, near Thornton-le-Dale, at 4.30pm yesterday, after they were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson for the SRMRT said: “We assisted with the evacuation of an injured mountain biker who had reportedly gone over his handlebars.
“The exact location of the patient was unknown, but the call had been made from the Bike Barn, in Low Dalby.”
On arrival, the team found that the casualty had been loaded onto an ambulance and was on his way to hospital.
Two team vehicles were deployed for one and a quarter hours.
