A HELMSLEY jewellery shop has celebrated10 years of business by gifting an emerald and diamond bracelet worth £1,200.
Libby Butler Jewellers launched a competition for someone to win the white gold tennis bracelet to celebrate owners Andy Mardle and Carolyn Frank’s special anniversary.
Colin Clifford and his wife Sally were drawn as the winners at a Christmas shopping event in the town, having been entered into the competition following the purchase of a watch.
Andy Mardle said: “We were delighted to surprise Colin and Sally with this early Christmas present, in fact, Sally joked that Colin could have kept it quiet and surprised her for Christmas with it.
“We are also really pleased that the competition has raised funds for Yorkshire Cancer Research, and we will be passing on nearly £300 to this valuable local charity whose Helmsley committee are very proactive.”
Andy and Carolyn took over Libby Butler Jewellers in June 2009 and this year also purchased the freehold on the building, which was available for the first time since 1975.
Running a small business of her own inspired Carolyn, who is currently working full-time for the Federation of Small Businesses and supporting other business owners across North Yorkshire.
Her partner Andy continues to run Libby Butler Jewellers, which sells jewellery and watches for men and women.
Andy added: “We are grateful to all our customers, from Helmsley, Malton, Pickering, Ryedale and beyond, who have supported us in our first 10 years in business and look forward to serving them for many more decades to come.
“We look forward to welcoming our many regular customers along with new visitors.”
