Ryedale Walking Group

  • Saturday, October 19: Thornton-le-dale, Ellerburn and Howl Dale, six miles (easy), start 10.45am, Thornton-le-Dale village hall, grid ref SE833830. Walk to be followed by AGM at Thornton-le-Dale village hall, members only.
  • Sunday, October 20: Terrington, Whenby and Scackleton, 10 miles (moderate), park/start 10.30am, Terrington Village Hall, grid SE671704. Honesty box for parking.
  • Saturday, October 26: Scaling and Green Houses, via Tranmire and various moors, 8.25 miles (moderate), park/start at 10.30am from the car park at eastern end of Scaling reservoir, off A171 Whitby to Teesside road, grid ref NZ 755129.
