A GINGERBREAD replica of a country hotel is to be raffled for charity.
Kevin Ewington, the chef at the Blacksmith's Arms at Hartoft, created a model of the building with the help of trainee Debbie Raw.
Owner John Maguire, who took over the hotel six months ago with his wife Nolene, said it was amazing.
"They decided they wanted to make a gingerbread model of the hotel and spent about 40 hours each on it and it is all to scale and looks fantastic," he said. "Everyone who has seen it has been amazed."
Kevin said they had decided to raffle the model to raise money for the Wilf Ward Trust, which is based in Pickering.
"At the moment it is on display for people to see in the restaurant and we hope to raise as much as we can by raffling it off," he said.
"They are already thinking about what they are going to do next and how they can top this."
Raffle tickets are available from the Blacksmiths Arms, Hartoft, until the end of the month. For more information, phone 01751 417331.
