AS part of the centenary of the First World War, Helmsley library is appealing for people to share their family stories.
Stories, pictures letters and other items of interest will be used to build up a community resource about the war and how it affected people’s lives in the area. Experts from family history groups and museums will be on hand help people understand what they have and how to find out more. and library staff will demonstrate how to get the best use out online library resources.
