A RYEDALE company has helped collect toys for children in need at Christmas.
Malton Coachworks, which is based in Showfield Lane, has received presents from all over the country in response to the appeal which has been coordinated by Minster FM’s Toy Appeal with North East Truck and Van.
Director James Szkiler said they were happy to support an appeal based in the local community.
“We have several charity interests based overseas and we thought the toy appeal was an excellent idea that we could contribute towards,” he said.
“We’ve had an excellent response and would like to thank our friends and customers for their generosity.”
James said they had toys sent from around the country after the appeal was seen on their Malton Coachworks UK Facebook page.
“To make a good start, the company and our staff bought presents and since then we have had so many placed under our Christmas tree,” he said.
