Anne McIntosh, MP for Thirsk, Malton and Filey and chairman of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee, visited the foodbank in Hope Central, Castlegate, Malton, on Friday, to thank Lesley Hurley and her team for their work supporting the community.
Miss McIntosh toured the service and talked to volunteers about their work.
Miss McIntosh said: “I was delighted to visit Hope Central foodbank to see the tremendous help that they provide to families.”
Malton-based foodbank has helped more than 140 people since it opened in the summer.
