PUPILS at Norton Community Primary School had a double treat last week.
While the older children went to a pantomine, the pupils in the foundation stage had a visit from a very important person – Father Christmas, and one of his reindeer, who took a break from the Christmas schedule to hand out presents to the children. They asked him various questions before enjoying their Christmas party and feast of food donated by parents.
Meanwhile, pupils from Years 1 to 6 went to see Cinderella at the Spa Theatre, Scarborough.
Headteacher Liz Parker said the children, along with all the staff, were not disappointed with the trip.
“Cinderella, the Baron, the Ugly Sisters and Buttons performed to a full theatre with a very loud, colourful and lively show,” she said.
“The children joined in singing and dancing and nearly raised the roof booing at the Ugly Sisters. Those in the front rows of the stalls were not too impressed with the water canons though.
“Altogether it was a thoroughly enjoyable trip.”
