A VERY special baby is again making his way round Pickering helping to spread the Christmas message.
The four-inch figure of Jesus is being taken to businesses, shops, schools and organisations before being returned to St Peter and St Paul’s Church for Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve.
Parish priest Father Antony Pritchett said: “This is the sixth year we have done it and every year more and more people have asked if they can have baby Jesus for a day.
“It’s a bit of fun as well as reminding people about the Christmas message and people do enjoy it.”
Father Antony said the Nativity scene would be set up in preparation for the infant’s arrival as part of the Christingle service on Christmas Eve at 3pm, which was attended by more than 500 people last year.
