BLOW, Norman Left us peacefully, after a severe stroke, in York Hospital on Tuesday 15th August 2023. Norman, a retired teacher and ex-RAF musician, came North from Kent in 2018 to live with his old friend, June Emerson, in Kirkbymoorside. He soon became well-known and loved in the town, for his kindliness, sociability and lively sense of humour. His loss will be deeply felt by his children John and Elizabeth, his nephew Stephen, his hundreds of past pupils in Kent, his many friends in the RAF Musicians' Association and those in his new home-town. The Service of Celebration for his life will be held at All Saints' Parish Church, Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire on Tuesday September 19th at 10.30 No flowers please, but any donations you may wish to make in memory of Norman will go to the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW.org/UK) Enquiries W Bumby and Son 01751 432737Your tribute has been received.
