SIMPSON Mary (Meg) 14th August peacefully at home aged 100 years. Dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many. Funeral service to be held at All Saint's Church Thorpe Basset on 31st August at 1.00pm followed by cremation at the East Riding Crematorium (Octon) at 2.30pm. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Meg will go to the Malton Hospital League of friends and Thorpe Basset Church. A splash of colour to be worn please. Dear Sister Simpson was my inspiration to undertake accident and emergency nursing when I was a cadet nurse in her department in 1964 nee (Streets). She was a firm but fair leader and taught me a great deal in my very early career. She will be sadly missed may she rest in peace.
