MEYER Vicky (Grace Ann) (nee Chalkley) Mamie, incorrigible matriarch of Thixendale, formerly St Albans, Barnet, North London and China. Died on 25th April, aged 88, peacefully and surrounded by love. An abominable start to life in a prisoner-of-war camp failed to prevent her being a jolly good wife, mother and savvy business woman. For more than 40 years she wowed Portobello Road antiques market with her fabulous walking sticks. Generous to a fault and a lifetime of faith in Jesus. Utterly adored by Sharon, Jon, Ella, Natasha, Rupert, Rachael, Philip, Oli and Miles. We are sure going to miss her! Thanksgiving Service 17th May at St Mary's Church, Thixendale, North Yorkshire at 2pm. Committal and burial 18th May at London Road Cemetery, St Albans, Hertfordshire at 2pm. Family flowers only. Donations to Waverley Abbey Resources (CWR).
