THOMPSON Alan On July 2nd, 2020 aged 64 years. Sadly passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a brave long battle with cancer. Loving husband of Ruth Ann, a very special dad to Dan and Sarah, father-in-law to Tom and Debbie, a much adored grandad to Jessica, Amelia, Olivia, Teagan and Jack. A true gent who will be missed by many. Due to the current circumstances a restricted funeral will take place at the East Riding Crematorium, Octon, on Friday, July 17th at 12:20pm. If anyone would like to pay their respects to Alan, the cortege will be passing along Eastgate at 11:30am. Please abide to social distancing. There will be a celebration of Alan's life at a later date to be arranged. Donations in memory of Alan may be given for Pickering Surgery and the Magnolia Centre at York Hospital and may be sent c/o Adam Collier Funeral Services, Sawmill Lane, Helmsley, York, YO62 5DQ.
