Ernest, such a special man, desperately missed by us all at the bungalow. Emily, Alfie, Ollie and Jake all saw you as a second Grandfather, we are so sad for our loss and the loss of Tracy, Mark, Sam and Benjamin. We will miss you dearly and live on in your spirit as possible. We were honoured to be with you towards the end and treasure our every moment with you, so much love and respect to Uncle Ernie xxxxx Kim, Steve and the children at Holme Lea ****

Ernest was a great friend. I had the opportunity to get to know him through our relationship with Sue Case, his close friend and companion for many years. Our daughter married Sue's son, who grew up with Ernest, a family member.

Ernest and I spent many hours discussing the state of the world, the future of humanity and the philosophy of fishing.

I am learning to fly fish and when I cast my lure I will think of Ernest

Ernest was predeceased by Sue and her elder son Richard.

The world is sadder place without them.

Linda and I , along with our son in Law Alex, our daughter Bronwyn and the children Leo, Poppy and Beatrice miss them all and mourn..
